The Ghana international footballer has called time on his long football career at the age of 36. No doubt , Kevin-Prince Boateng was a player with considerable amount of soccer talent but the Black Stars did not get enough from him.
The German-born Ghanaian represented the Black Stars at the 2010 FIFA World Cup where he enhanced his reputation as he scored a goal against the USA in the Round of 16. Four years later , he was there in Brazil with the team for the Mundiale and we all know what happened ; a total fiasco as Boateng was sent packing home by Kwesi Appiah over indiscipline issues.
Boateng started his youth and professional football career at Hertha BSC in Germany in 1994. He joined the second team of the club in 2004 and in the next year he was promoted to the senior side.
He was however lacking game time and so he took his career to England where he played for Tottenham Hotspur and Portsmouth.
“I LOVE YOU. But that’s a WRAP for me. Thank you FOOTBALL for everything ‼️” , he wrote on social media.
In all the former FC Barcelona man scored 2 goals in 15 games for the Black Stars. This is simply not enough.
