The Porcupine Warriors were held at home by Heart of Lions who have returned to the country’s top-flight soccer league after years of playing in the National Division One League.
Asante Kotoko drew 0-0 against Lions at the Babayara sports stadium on Sunday during the opening weekend of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.
“I am okay with the players , I am satisfied. We have a blend of new and old players trying to get the game module going. To me what I saw was good of our individual players but then we can do better. It’s good , better , best and what I saw was good. I am okay with it.
I don’t have any doubt about this team that as the league progresses we will get better in offence and defensive , to create more chances. So I am very confident about this team.” , Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum said after the game.
Kotoko now travel to Bibiani Gold Stars on 23rd September before coming to Kumasi to host Karela United on September 30th. Away game at Accra Lions on October 7th and a home fixture against Aduana FC on October 14th follow.
Enjoy every word, Coach Ogum said it after the 0-0 draw at the Baba Yara Stadium:
