Accra Hearts of Oak chief scout Sebastian Barnes has described his working relationship with Hearts of Oak board members Vincent Odotei Sowah and Alhaji Akanbi in a wide-ranging interview with Ghanasportspage.com.
Barnes , a former Ghana youth international , was a youth coach of Bundesliga side Bayern Leverkusen before he left the role to join his former team as head of scouting department.
In the past few seasons , Sowah and Akanbi have been unpopular in the eyes of many Phobians but Barnes has given a positive assessment of the duo after working together for almost two months.
“What happened is in the past and what we have to do is to march forward. Whatever happened at the club before I joined is in the past”
“I have stayed in Germany for 34 years and as I told you I was a coach , the system there is such that you know what you are supposed to do , everyone knows his duties.”
“So far we have been working with Odotei and Akanbi perfectly , everything is moving on well and I have not seen anything negative. We don’t see anything which is like what the supporters were saying about Akanbi and Odotei that they are the problems of the team. I don’t know why the fans were against them but in this life not all persons will like you. Such is life” , Barnes added.
