The head coach seat of Fabulous Asante Kotoko will be missing this afternoon when the club engages Legon Cities at the Wafa park in Sogskope.
The match which was originally fixed for El Wak the home grounds of Legon Cities was moved to Hohoe due to the unavailability of the Military grounds but protests from Kotoko later moved the match again to Sogakope.
However,Kotoko will not have the luck of having their coach Ogum with them as he will be miles away from the venue.
Ogum had been away from the club after the victory over Medeama last week and have even been absent from training grounds with his assistants David Ocloo and others holding the fort.
Currently, there is a FIFA/CAF Coach education pathway Course ongoing which Prosper Ogum is involved and that prevents him from being with Kotoko currently .
The programme comprises of over 150 hours of theory and practicals linked to the fundamental competencies of coach educators.
Coach educators from Egypt, The Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Libya, Nigeria and Sierra Leone are taking part in the course with three coaches each.
Ghana is being represented by Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, Maxwell Konadu and Nana Agyemang – having completed the online pre-qualification assignments.
The five (5) days Course which started on Tuesday, November 21, at the Marriot Hotel would end on Saturday, November 25, 2023.
The FIFA Coach Educators Development Pathway programme will shift control to the coach educators them-selves, whereas the technical experts will challenge and support the pathway either virtually or in a brick-and-mortar location away from home.
The FIFA experts are led by Basir Mohammed with support from Frans Mokata Mogashoa, Zunaid Mall, and Jessica Hernandez Mendez.
