Black Stars winger, Fatawu Issahaku has stated he is not affected by criticisms of not delivering for the Black Stars.
Issahaku is one of the raising stars tipped to play a key role for Ghana in near future.
However, his development in the national team has not been as expected as some Ghanaians criticize him for not translating his club form into the national team.
Speaking with South African outlet Soccer Laduma, he said the backlash does not get to him because he would certainly get more opportunities to prove himself due to his age.
“This criticism doesn’t really get to me because I am just a young boy coming up and I feel there will be more opportunities with the national team to come,” he said.
“It’s the national team, it’s not like at club level even if you are five years old, they will expect more from you,” he added.
Fatawu Issahaku made his Black stars debut in 2021 at age 17 in Black Stars win over Zimbabwe in 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
