Former Hearts of Oak defender, Caleb Amankwah has shared his dream of winning a silverware with the Black Stars.
The center-back, who is yet to receive a debut invitation to the Blacks Stars, stated that he hopes his time would come anytime soon.
“I hope I will be called one day. I pray about it all the time. We are all Ghanaians and would to make the national team better than it is now”.
“I hope the time I get the call-up, we would be able to win a trophy within that period or perform way better than people imagined,” he said in an interview with Ghanasportspage.com.
The Black Stars have not won a trophy for over four decades since winning the AFCON in 1982, a jinx they hope to break in 2024 during the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast.
Meanwhile, Caleb Amankwah has only played for the local Black Stars currently known as Black Galaxies.
He currently having a good season for Commercial Bank FC in the Ethiopian Premier League.
