Medeama Sporting Club recorded a 1-0 victory over Bibiani Goldstars this afternoon at the Akoon Park in match week 16 of the Ghana Premier League.
This is the first time the Tarkwa -based side have returned to their home grounds in a month due to their participation in the CAF Champions League.
The first half of the game started on a high note with both teams creating chances but it ended goalless. The second half was just as the first until the home side was awarded with a penalty.
Medeama right back, Kwadwo Amoako scored from the penalty spot to give the Yellow and Mauve club the needed 3 points on the 74th minute. Medeama move to the 10th position on the table with 19 points.
Bibiani Goldstars are 14th with 15 points. The Gye Nyame boys are still winless against Medema in recent years and have won just a game in their last seven games in the Ghana Premier League.
In the next round of games, Bibiani Goldstars will play against Legon Cities while Medeama lock horns with Karela United.
