Ghana Premier League champions, Medeama have appointed Bosnia and Herzegovina tactician, Nebojsa Kapor as head coach.
The former head coach for Tema Youth has signed a a one-year deal with a two-year option for renewal. He takes over from Evans Augustine Adotey, who is returning to his role as a technical director.
Speaking about his appointment, Nebojsa Kabor first of all expressed his joy for joining Medeama while appreciating the work done by Evans Adotey. He added that he will do his best to lead the club to success.
“I am very happy to be here and also contribute to the success drive of the champions. This is an ambitious club and I’m happy with everything going on here in Tarkwa,” Kapor told medeamasc.org
“We are determined to continue from where Mr. Adotey has steered this club beautifully. He’s done a great job and deserves a pat on the shoulder. But it’s time for another hand to continue from where he left of in our pursuit to achieve excellence. I have a fair idea of the kind of talents at the club and we hope to do our best to make it count.
“We can and we’ll challenge for trophies this season. We have few games to cover up to the numbers of the teams on top of the table and so we’ll see how it goes.” He added.
Born in Serbia, Nebojsa Kapor holds a UEFA Licence A badge from Croatia Football Federation. He previously worked as a technical director for Football Schools and Camp Leotar Trebinje Premier League- Bosnia, and also as the head coach of the University Football team – Normal University, Hefei.
He worked as a head coach of Tema Youth in 2021 and also had an unofficial stint with Ghana Premier League side Bechem United. Medeama says Kapor will take full charge of the club when his documentation is finalised and approved by the Ghana Football Association.
