Issahaku, Baba Rahman dropped from Black Stars squad for AFCON

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Baba Rahman has reportedly been dropped from Ghana’s final squad for 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

According to 3sports, the duo held discussions with the technical team and asked to be left out of the final squad.

Head coach, Chris Hughton is expected to name the final squad during a preset at the Alisa Hotel today, Monday, January 1, 2024.

Following the announcement, the team will begin their camping in Kumasi, where they will face Namibia a pre-tournament friendly.

The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations is slated to begin on January 12, 2014.

Ghana will begin their AFCON quest in Group B where they have been paired with Egypt, Cape Verde, and Mozambique.
