Ghana international Jonathan Mensah has joined Major League Soccer side New England Evolution as a free agent.
The defender leaves San Jose Earthquake as a free agent and joins New England Evolution on a one-year deal with an option to extend to 2025.
The 33-year-old defender has a vast of experience in the MLS and will be source of great help to New England Evolution. He spent six years at Columbus Crew helping them to achieve great feats between 2017-2022. Jonathan Mensah aided Columbus Crew to win the 2020 MLS Cup title. He then went on to help the Crew win the Campeones Cup in 2021.

During our time together in Columbus, he is someone my staff and I could depend on each and every week, bringing a professionalism and passion to the pitch,” Head Coach Caleb Porter said. “Jonathan knows what it takes to win a championship and will bolster our center back depth and bring a positive presence to the locker room.”
Jonathan Mensah who is a former U20 FIFA World Cup winner has played 90 times for the Black Stars of Ghana.
