Broadcast journalist Stephen Tetteh has joined PentRadio 100.1 FM, the first and historic radio station to be owned by the globally known church, The Church of Pentecost.
The seasoned sports broadcaster has joined the Christian Radio station PentRadio crew effective January 2024, and is set to set the airwaves on fire once again for the first time in about four years of absence from main stream radio broadcasting.
Stephen Tetteh, affectionately known as CONTINENTAL in the media fraternity, has set a record, becoming one of the foremost and privileged broadcasters to have been appointed by the General Headquarters of the Church of Pentecost as a leading staff of its first ever established Radio Station in the 71 years of its existence as an established Church.
The GSP1 Media Editor, Tetteh, joins the PentRadio crew with myriads of versatility in broadcast journalism as well as in-depth knowledge in news writing, having served as the Editor and writer of one of Ghana’s leading sports portal, GSP1 Media.
Lovers of sports and loyal listeners of the multitalented journalist have been left to thirst for the unsurpassed eloquence of “CONTINENTAL”, a voice that has been one of the favourites to have graced the airwaves in the Ashanti region and its environs.
He returns to the broadcasting scene after leaving one of the leading Media Houses in Kumasi, F-Giant Broadcasting Limited’s channel, Fox 97.9 FM in March 2020. Having worked previously with Kyzz FM (Takoradi), Help FM (Takoradi), Fox FM (Kumasi) and GSP1 Media where he still functions as the Editor/Writer, Stephen Tetteh brings to the PentRadio brand wealth of experience spanning a little over nine (9) years in broadcasting in Ghana.
He is widely known for his in-depth write ups, boasting of over hundreds of news articles published, accurate pronunciations, and flawless flow of on-air presentations, confident public speaking and to mention few.
Outside broadcasting, Stephen Tetteh has previously worked as a teacher, as a lecturer, and currently functions as the Communications Director of the producers of the leading alkaline drinking water in Ghana, Kangen Enagic Water Limited.
It’s unclear which category of programs would be handled by the “man of details”, CONTINENTAL, but he joins the PentRadio team with varied experiences, and he would be heard on radio, probably seen on television and enjoyed on the various digital media platforms of PentRadio, and to a larger extent, those of the Church of Pentecost.
PentRadio is currently on transmission on the frequency 100.1, with a slogan “Yesu Nkoaa”, which translates into English as “It’s All About Jesus”. Programs are yet to start, but the fans of CONTINENTAL and the masses just can’t wait for the long awaited return of the “continental voice”.
