Division One campaigners Techiman Eleven Wonders, who are struggling in the Zone 1 league are on the verge of being pushed down further as a result of the club’s refusal to comply with an order from the GFA.
Eleven Wonders failed to abide by their part of the contract with their former player Tetteh Nortey and did not pay his signing-on fee as well as five months of salary. With persistent reminders failing to yield results, the Player Status Committee of the GFA took over the case and in a ruling dated 1st December 2023, signed by the Status Committee Chairman Is-Hak AlHassan and FA General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo, Wonders were ordered to settle the debt by a giving date or risk further punishment.
The date expired with no action, culminating in the FA Disciplinary Committee being informed to take the next action, which includes the deduction of points as the second round of the Division One League is about to start.
Wonders will play Royals, Baffoe Academy, Young Apostles, Liberty and Debibi in their first five matches of the second round and are likely to be docked points should they fail to settle the Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred Ghana Cedis owed the player Tetteh Nortey.
