“We’ve had good preparations so far. The game between Kotoko and ASEC will kick off at exactly 4:00pm at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. We visited Otumfour Osei Tutu II this afternoon to inform him about the event together with Ivorian ambassador to Ghana, Assielou Felix Tanon.

“President Akuffo-Addo and President Alassane Ouattara are expected to arrive around 3pm.

“The Ivorian club, ASEC have already touched down. They will train at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium this evening.

“This is the last President’s Cup for His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo. It is being held to celebrate his 89th birthday, the 25th enstoolment anniversary of Otumfour Osei Tutu II and Ghana’s 67th Independence Day anniversary.

“Some selected Secondary Schools and four Universities in the Ashanti Region will play mini gala tomorrow morning as part of the opening ceremony.

“Amerado and other artistes will be at the stadium to perform before the game,” he stated.
