Prosper Narteh Ogum has revealed that he turned down Hearts of Oak job before joining Asante Kotoko.
The former WAFA manager is currently having his second spell as Asante Kotoko coach.
In an interview with Angel FM, Ogum disclosed that Hearts of Oak came calling, but he had no desire turned deal be he had his mind fixated to kotoko.
“I was linked to the Hearts of Oak job; if I wanted to go, I would have done it,” he revealed during an interview with Angel FM.
“If I leave Kotoko today, I will get myself another job both local and international.
“Hearts Of Oak job was there for me, but I rejected it because of Kotoko. I can decide to lecture even if I don’t want to coach, he added.
“It was just there for me to go; they called me, and they engaged me. I could have gone. I said no, I will not go, and they didn’t even understand why…It’s all about Kotoko,” he added.
Asante Kotoko is currently on poor form, losing three league games on a bounce, and has subsequently dropped from second to mid table
The poor form has triggered some fans who are calling for the manager to be axed.
It has not been the best second coming for Prosper Ogum after winning the Ghana Premier League title during his first stint.
