Accra Lions, buoyed by recent victories over formidable opponents including Medeama SC, Berekum Chelsea, and Accra Great Olympics in their last three home fixtures, are poised to extend their winning streak as they clash with Bofoakwa Tano at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Following their impressive 1-0 triumph against reigning champions Medeama SC, Accra Lions have climbed to the 8th position in the league standings. With 21 points amassed at home and a tally of 17 goals scored and 13 conceded, Lions exhibit solid form with four wins and a draw in their last five matches.

In contrast, Bofoakwa Tano finds themselves in the lower echelons of the league table, positioned in the bottom three with 26 points. The Sunyani-based outfit has struggled on the road, collecting only eight points away from home. Despite this, they seek inspiration from their recent MTN FA Cup success, clinching a thrilling 5-4 victory over Skyy FC in the quarterfinals.

Accra Lions’ Blessing Asuman Dankwah’s stellar performance has earned him a nomination for the February/March NASCO Player of the Month award, having netted four goals during the period. He will be supported by a formidable lineup including Baba Salifu Apiiga, Ali Mohammed, and Dominic Amponsah.
