Former Hearts of Oak winger, Charles Taylor, didn’t hold back as he criticized the club’s goalkeeper, Richard Attah, for his subpar performance this season.
Taylor went as far as suggesting that playing without a goalkeeper might be preferable to continuing with Attah’s current form.
“The kind of goalkeeping that Richard Attah is demonstrating makes me feel that it would be better if Hearts of Oak play without a goalkeeper. I’ve said it all, and I am done,” he said in an interview with Angel TV.
With the team struggling and losing four out of their last five games in the Ghana Premier League, Taylor’s comments underscored the urgent need for improvement, especially in the goalkeeper position.
Known for his outspoken nature, Taylor emphasized the importance of addressing performance issues within the team while expressing frustration with Attah’s display.
His remarks serve as a wake-up call for both Attah and the Hearts of Oak team as they aim to revive their season.
Hearts of Oak will next host Accra Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium in a Ghana Premier League Matchday 28 fixture.
