Aduana Stars attacking midfielder, Emmanuel Gyamfi has made a sober reflection on his season far.
The 27-year-old has been instrumental for the ‘Ogya Boys’ since making a move to the Dormaa-based club from Asante Kotoko before the start of the 2022/23 season.
Gyamfi feels he hasn’t met expectations, particularly in assists. With only four assists compared to his usual standards, Gyamfi remains optimistic, attributing his performance to divine providence and the possibility of improvement.
“It hasn’t been the best as I wanted, though I have five goals which isn’t many but the one leading also has 12 goals but I can say I am not impressed with my performance so far because people know Beckham to be given assists,” he told Ghanasportspage.com in an exclusive interview.
“Mostly I am best in providing assists and goal scoring but this year I’ve not been able to assist as I would have wanted, my assists are lesser which is four, but before, I used to give let’s say from seven going with three or four goals but but this season I’ve scored more goals than the assists I normally give but in all I give glory to the most high God because everything is possible, things can change, I can be chasing the goal king so whatever God has given me, I’ve to embrace it,” he ended.
In 25 games, Gyamfi has scored five goals, providing four assists so far this season.
Aduana will travel to face Accra Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon in a Ghana Premier League Matchweek 29 encounter.
