Ameenu Shardow, the General Manager of Dreams FC, has disclosed that several players from his team are drawing attention from top football clubs across Africa, with Zamalek among them.
The revelation has sparked speculation about the potential departure of key talents like Abdul Azziz Issah, whose stellar performances in the CAF Confederation Cup have not gone unnoticed.
Despite being underdogs, Dreams FC defied expectations by reaching the tournament’s semi-finals, defeating strong opponents such as Club Africain, Rivers United, and Stade Malien along the way.
In the semi-final showdown against Zamalek, Dreams FC held their ground with a goalless draw in Cairo, but succumbed to a 3-0 defeat in the return leg in Kumasi, ultimately exiting the competition.
Confirming the buzz surrounding his players, Shardow acknowledged ongoing discussions with interested clubs, stressing that negotiations are still in the preliminary stages.
Speaking to Citi TV, Shardow revealed, “Almost the whole team have attracted interest from some clubs in Africa, but those are just conversations. After losing to Zamalek, before they left to Cairo, they left us some emails about certain players in our team.”
