Ghana Premier League side, Aduana Stars Football Club, has taken decisive action by suspending seven players over allegations of bribery during a match against Karela United.
Assistant Coach W. O. Tandoh reportedly implicated Youth Team coach and former team captain Yahaya Mohammed as a conduit between Aduana Stars and Karela United, alleging that Mohammed accepted Gh¢5,000 to disburse to the players.
In response to the allegations, Aduana Stars has suspended Yahaya Mohammed from all club-related activities and relieved him of his duties as the Youth Team coach.
Additionally, players Bright Adjei, Sam Adams, Silas Obeng Kyeremeh, Emmanuel Gyamfi, goalkeeper Yaw Ansah Fufuro, and Iddrisu Shaibu have been suspended pending further investigation.
