Aboubakar Ouattara, the head coach of Hearts of Oak, praised his team’s stellar performance in their 3-0 triumph over Berekum Chelsea during Wednesday’s Ghana Premier League encounter.
In a post-match interview, the Ivorian tactician emphasized the importance of securing the three points, emphasizing the team’s unwavering commitment to victory.
“I expected to win but three goals that’s football. You can win 1-0, 2-0, 3-0 and that’s it. We needed the three points,” coach Aboubakar Ouattara said.
Expressing his lack of surprise at the sizable margin, Ouattara attributed previous struggles to mental hurdles within the team, vowing to address and strengthen the players’ mindset for future successes.
“Our issue is a mental problem. The boys are starting to understand because there are some people who want to pollute the minds of some players,” Ouattara lamented, highlighting ongoing efforts to fortify the team’s mentality.
Following their triumph in Berekum, Hearts of Oak will now focus on preparations for an upcoming showdown against Aduana Stars upon their return to Accra.
