Edmund Ackah, General Manager of Samartex, has leveled allegations against certain individuals within the football community, claiming they are actively working to thwart the club’s historic bid for the Ghana Premier League title.
Accusing them of employing “dark arts” and “diabolical minds,” Ackah expressed concern over their nefarious tactics as the league enters its final stretch with only five matches remaining.
Asserting the intelligence of those behind the alleged sabotage, Ackah condemned their actions during an interview on Oyerepa FM.
“Some individuals believe, with just five matches remaining in the GPL, they can work against Samartex and win the league with their ‘dark arts’ and diabolic minds. I see those people as not being intelligent enough,” he said on Oyerepa FM.
With Samartex holding a seven-point lead atop the league table, victory in their upcoming clashes against Bofoakwa Tano, Heart of Lions, and Bibiani Gold Stars could secure the coveted championship.
However, Ackah’s accusations highlight the challenges faced by the club as they fend off competition from contenders like Nations FC, Accra Lions, and Aduana FC in their pursuit of glory.
