Asante Kotoko Sporting Club have named a 20-man squad for their GPL week 30 clash with Berekum Chelsea on Saturday, 18th May 2024.
The Porcupine Warriors will embark on a journey to face the Bibires at Golden City Park today, Friday at 1 pm, and are estimated to arrive at 3:30 PM.
Richmond Lamptey is among the notable players who are once again missing from the squad. Other players who did not make the Ogum’s traveling squad are Enock Morrison, Rocky Dwamena, Frederick Asare, Fuseini Issahak, Isaac Oppong, Somuah Bernard.
Lamptey has been excused from club duties as he mourns the death of his father, Mr George Odarkwei Lamptey, who will be laid to rest on Saturday.
But Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has no shortage of options when it comes to his midfield and the attack, with Baba Yahya, Eric Zeze, Steven Mukwala and Kalo Ouattara making the trip alongside Nicholas Osei-Bonsu and Enoch Morrison.
Moise Pouaty and Danlad Ibrahim are the two goalkeepers deployed for tomorrow’s clash.
The return of Danlad makes Kotoko’s starting XI harder to predict, though one can expect Danlad to start between the sticks.
