Asante Kotoko Sporting Club returned to winning ways after picking a 2-0 win over their arch-rival Accra Hearts of Oak in the Super Clash at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The Rainbows struggled in their previous game, losing 1-0 to Aduana Stars. Kotoko, on the other hand, suffered a 2-1 defeat to Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park.
