Francis Oti Akenteng, a highly respected Ghanaian football coach, has expressed his eagerness to work for Asante Kotoko as the club’s Technical Director.

The Porcupines are gearing up for a transformative phase and are looking to assemble a strong technical team to support head coach Prosper Ogum next season.

Among the names being considered for the role, Oti Akenteng is reportedly a top candidate to take over as the Technical Director. In an exclusive interview with Ghanasportspage.com, Oti Akenteng shared his excitement about the possibility of joining Kotoko.

He emphasized his close relationship with Otumfuo, the owner of the club, and expressed his willingness to answer the call to serve the club.

“Who would say no to Otumfuo’s call to work for him? he quizzed. “it will be very difficult. I attended the same secondary school with Otumfuo, I was leading him one year and I was the sports prefect and he was much interested in table tennis which fell under my jurisdiction back then so i am very close to him so i can never decline his call,” he told Ghanasportspage.com in an exclusive interview.

Oti Akenteng highlighted his previous experience managing Kotoko and playing in Africa, noting that he would be honored to return and contribute to the team’s success.

“I’ve managed Kotoko before and played in Africa but I left due to my engagement with national team so if they need my services to come and help, why not, i cant turn them down,” he added.

With a wealth of experience and expertise in talent identification and development, Oti Akenteng is poised to make a significant impact on Asante Kotoko.

His track record of success in Ghanaian football and his dedication to the sport make him a valuable asset for the club as they look to build a strong technical team for the upcoming season.
