Former Asante Kotoko defender Samuel Appiah has launched a scathing attack on coach Prosper Narteh Ogum, labeling him as “very disrespectful” and “intolerant”.
Appiah, who worked under Ogum during the 2021-22 season, when the team won the Premier League title, made the comments in an interview with Saddick Adams TV.
The 30-year-old defender, who left the club in 2023 after Ogum took over for a second stint, expressed his disappointment at how he was treated by the coach.
“He’s an intolerant person, very quick tempered. I will advise him to change his attitude and learn how to respect players,” Appiah said.
“We won the league for him during his first season,” Appiah added, implying that Ogum’s success was largely due to the team’s efforts rather than his own coaching abilities.
