Hearts of Oak have made an approach for Berekum Chelsea forward Stephen Amankona, with a view to bolstering their attack ahead of the new season.
The Phobians had a challenging 2023/24 season, narrowly escaping relegation by finishing 14th with 45 points, just one point above the relegated Accra Great Olympics.
The club’s management is now looking to revamp the team to avoid a similar situation in the future.
The Phobians, according to reports have already made contact with Chelsea to gauge the availability of the 24-year-old.Amankona, who had an impressive debut season with Berekum Chelsea, is seen as a promising addition to the Phobians.
The 24-year-old won the Ghana Premier League’s top scorer award with 19 goals in 29 appearances last term.
