Newly promoted Ghana Premier League side, Vision FC has appointed Nana Kweku Agyemang as their new head coach as they gear up for their debut in the Ghana Premier League.
Agyemang, who signed a two-year contract with the club, was unveiled on Tuesday, taking over from Hamza Obeng, who led the team to a historic promotion to the top flight.
The decision to bring in Agyemang was made due to Obeng’s lack of qualifications to lead the team in the Ghana Premier League, although he will stay on as an assistant coach.
With a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Calgary, Agyemang has a proven track record of improving teams and maximizing player development.

I look forward to working with a very talented group of players and coaching staff to develop a team that continues the club’s tradition of success and makes our fans happy and proud,” He said“I’m very impressed with what I’ve seen and heard from my visit to the club. I have followed the team for some years and it’s a delight to finally be a part of the family.” Nana told the club communication team on Tuesday.
Having graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Calgary in Canada, Agyemang has a history of improving teams he is involved with and has a track record of maximising player development. Before joining the newly promoted Ghana Premier League side, Agyemang guided the Ghana National U17 side to a fourth-placed finish in the WAFU Zone B Championship held in Ghana.
Prior to joining Vision FC, he led the Ghana National U17 team to a fourth-place finish in the WAFU Zone B Championship.
Agyemang’s experience as an assistant coach for the Ghana U-17 national team and his leadership roles at various football academies make him a valuable addition to Vision FC Armed with CAF License A and UEFA License B qualifications, Agyemang is poised to lead Vision FC to success in their first season in the Ghana Premier League.
