Asante Kotoko has handed Ghanaian forward Victor Asamoah a one-week trial, providing him with the opportunity to prove his worth and secure a permanent deal with the club.
The 24-year-old, who was spotted and recommended by club legend Sarfo Gyamfi, will undergo his trial period this weekend before the club decides on whether to sign him.
Asamoah, who was part of the African Talent contingent that included Mohammed Salisu, who left for Spain in 2018, is eager to make a strong impression and become a part of Asante Kotoko’s project.
The former CD Bupolsa forward was present at the Adako Jachie Training Ground on Friday when the team resumed training for the Democracy Cup on July 5, but he did not participate in the session.
With a chance to showcase his skills, Asamoah hopes to convince the Porcupines’ management that he has what it takes to be a key player in their squad.
