After leaving Accra Hearts of Oak to join Qatari side Al Kharaitiyat on a permanent transfer, Glid Otanga has advised the leadership of the Rainbows to give Coach Aboubakar Ouattara a free hand.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Ghanasportspage after his departure, the 23-year-old Congolese midfielder boldly said: “I want to tell them one thing. They should allow Coach Ouattara to do his job. They have to leave him to do the the job and what he knows.”
“Coach Ouattara is a very good coach and very matured. He knows a lot of players in Africa. They should leave him to do his job and give him the money to buy his players,” he told Ghana’s authoritative website, ghanasportspage.com.
Glid Otanga opted to part ways with the GPL giants following the expiration of his contract.
He joined the Rainbows and has established himself as a key player, contributing to their FA Cup victory in 2022.
His impressive performances attracted the attention of the Qatari team.
This move marks a new chapter in Otanga’s career. The 23-year-old previously played for Akonangui FC (Equatorial Guinea) and Coton Sport FC de Garoua (Cameroon), experiences that have prepared him for this significant step.
