English-born Ghanaian midfielder, Isaac Boakye King has declared his readiness to represent Ghana in future.
Boakye, 15, who is eligible to play for England has committed to the West African powerhouse since he feels more Ghanaian.
In an interview with Accra-based Mothers FM, the former Chelsea Academy midfielder left the door open for both Ghana and England but expressed massive desire to play for the Black Stars.
“I won’t say I prefer any national team. I will be happy to play for anyone as long as I am playing football and enjoying it”
“I have always been close to Ghana but I am ready to play for any national team. If it’s Ghana that comes first or England, I will take it. England and Ghana have very talented players but me as a midfielder, I think I fit into any team. It will have to be Ghana at international level” he said.
Boakye has had spells with Chelsea and Arsenal Academies respectively. He currently plays for the Southampton youth team.
The young Ghanaian midfielder has been in Ghana for the past three-weeks and has been training with top players like Andre Ayew Mubarak Wakaso, Kasim Adams, Benjamin Afutu Isaac Coffie, Alhassan Wakaso and others.
