Black Satellites’ starman Jerry Afriyie has completed a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah FC.
Afriyie joins Al-Qadsiah after an impressive spell with the Ghana U-20 and the Black Satellites, where he showcased his goal-scoring prowess and playmaking abilities. His move marks a significant step in his career as he embarks on a professional career in Asia.
The Ghanaian sensation has signed a three-year deal, committing him to the club until the summer of 2028. He will, however, join Spanish third-tier club CD Lugo on loan for the rest of the season.
Al-Qadsiah FC officially announced the signing, expressing confidence in the young forward’s ability to strengthen their squad. Club officials lauded Afriyie’s technical ability, pace, and eye for goal, believing he will be an integral part of their campaign this season.
Jerry Afriyie won a golden boot at the 2024 WAFU B Championship and a gold medal with the U-20 team at the African Games in March, where he won the best player.
He led the Ghana U20 team to qualify for the U20 Africa Cup of Nations, claiming the Goal King and Best Player awards at the WAFU Zone B Championship in Togo.
The teenager made one appearance for the Black Stars scoring on his debut against Niger in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
