The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee has levelled disciplinary charges against Asante Kotoko SC head coach Abdul Karim Zito, following an unsporting behaviour exhibited during their game against Bibiani GoldStars SC on Saturday.
At the Bibiani Dun’s park, the Porcupine Warriors travelled to pick a vital point in week 19 fixture of the 2025/26 Premier league campaign but showed misconduct after the final whistle of game, claiming an obvious clean goal was disallowed them.
Actions from head coach Abdul Karim Zito, according to GFA disciplinary committee cited violence and misconduct hence breaching article 12(1)(I) of the GFA disciplinary code 2019.
In a system released by the disciplinary committee reads;
“Abdul Karim Zito and Prince Yaw Owusu of Asante Kotoko SC have been charged with breaches of article 12(1)(I) of the GFA disciplinary code 2019, following the Ghana Premier league game between Bibiani GoldStars SC and Asante Kotoko SC”
“It is alleged that both coaches exhjited unsporting behaviour towards the match officials of the said game”.
Coach Zito has until Wednesday 21 January, 2026 to respond to the charges.
