Bibiani GoldStars FC has plans underway to ambush Medeama SC for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier league following a 2-0 home victory over Accra Hearts of Oak SC last Sunday.
At the Dun’s park over the weekend, saw Miners host the Phobias and humbled them to a stupendous two goals to make a case for the title challenge.
The victory has placed Bibiani GoldStars FC 2nd on the league log with 45 points, just a point behind league leaders Medeama SC after week 24. Speaking on Citi Sports, administrative manager for GoldStars Joseph Oti Manu said their triumph over Hearts of Oak SC sends a strong signal and underlines the club’s desire to defend the league title.
Bibiani GoldStars last season won the league title with Coach Stephen Frimpong Manso after Coach Michael Osei had started a brilliant season with them.
And recording their first-ever victory over the Oaks, believe has set a tone for a better thing to happen which includes clinching the title.
“It was a good weekend for us, it was a good game. Both teams played well but let me congratulate Bibiani GoldStars for the massive win”
“Playing in Bibiani against Hearts it tends to a drawn game but we made everything right from management level and the fans were really poised”, Oti said.
“It’s the win over Hearts that tells you how ready and how serious we are; we are left with 10 games to end the season and we believe we are picking it game after game, and we will see what happens in the next months”.
GoldStars will next aim for back to back victory when they travel to Wenchi to play Young Apostles FC in match day 25 fixture.
