Ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup slated for the summer, Ghanaians are skeptical of the Black Stars yet hell bent on seeing them perform well. Several pundits admit Ghana has quality and good players but not enough to secure qualification from Group L.
Ghana is housed in Group L, alongside England, Croatia and Panama.
They will first take on Panama before following suit with Croatia and England respectively. Considering the draw, many believe Ghana can not survive with qualification.
Former Ghana defender Daniel Opare in an interview with Joy Sports, admit when it comes to quality and talent the Black Stars has in abundance. However, lacks team cohesion, a tool that will deny Ghana a perfect opportunity to showcase their worth at the Mundial.
“We have the players and the talent, but we haven’t built a cohesive team yet. I think that is the core problem”
“If we manage to get out of the group stage, Ghanaians should be happy, as this is the time to build around these boys. They are good players—I’m not going to take that away from them,” Opare added.
