The former Accra Hearts of Oak SC player is among six local based players that earned an invite to the senior national men’s team for their upcoming international friendly match against Mexico.
With 11 goals and an assist in the ongoing 2025/26 Ghana Premier league season, Salim deservedly secured a spot under new head coach Carlos Queiroz. His standout performance could not ho unnoticed by the handlers of the Black Stars, hence expected to play a part in Ghana’s preparation to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the summer.
Speaking after the squad was made public, Salim Adams says he is excited after being handed his first Black Stars call-up.
“I feel very excited getting Black Stars callup. It is a very big step for me to keep working hard”
“I hope to achieve more and getting more opportunities outside”.
Salim is set to feature against Mexico on May 22.
