Gold Fields has announced a major two-year sponsorship agreement worth $5 million with the Ghana Football Association to support several national football teams and competitions in Ghana.
The sponsorship package will cover the Black Stars, Black Queens, Black Challenge, as well as the Ghana Women’s Premier League.
The agreement represents one of the most significant private-sector investments into Ghana football in recent years and is expected to provide a major financial boost for the development of both men’s and women’s football, including para-sports.
Officials say the partnership is aimed at strengthening football structures, improving preparation for international competitions, and supporting the growth of the domestic women’s game.
The deal also highlights increasing corporate confidence in Ghana football as stakeholders continue efforts to improve the sport’s competitiveness and long-term sustainability.
