Accra Hearts of Oak SC has released an official statement addressing its ongoing dispute with former Technical Director Rene Hiddink, assuring supporters that efforts are being made to resolve the matter amicably.
In the statement dated May 11, 2026, the club said it remains committed to handling the issue in a “professional and mutually respectful manner.”
According to Hearts of Oak, recent engagements between both parties have led to the submission of a formal settlement proposal through the club’s legal representatives.
“Following recent engagements between both parties, the Club, acting through its legal representatives and in line with discussions held in court, has formally submitted a settlement proposal to Mr. Hiddink’s legal representatives in good faith,” the statement read.
The club added that the move reflects its desire to reach a fair and responsible conclusion in the best interest of all involved.
Hearts of Oak also acknowledged reports and alleged leaked conversations linked to Hiddink but stressed that management would avoid public commentary that could jeopardize ongoing discussions.
“While such developments are unfortunate and have generated significant public discussion, Hearts of Oak remains focused on the ongoing resolution process,” the club stated.
The Phobians further emphasized that throughout the process, they have acted transparently and in good faith while protecting the club’s long-term interests and reputation.
Management disclosed that the club is currently awaiting an official response from Hiddink and his representatives regarding the settlement proposal submitted.
The statement concluded with an appeal for calm among supporters and stakeholders as negotiations continue, while reaffirming the board’s confidence that the matter will be resolved quickly and amicably.
