Black Starlets Head Coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum has retained the same starting line-up that featured against Algeria for Ghana’s crucial second Group D game against Senegal at the 2026 U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Coach Ogum’s decision reflects his confidence in the squad that produced an encouraging performance in the team’s opening 2-2 draw against Algeria earlier in the competition.
Goalkeeper Solomon Kwame Kesse maintains his place between the posts as Ghana looks for stability and composure at the back. Captain Mujahid Osman continues at right back, with Issah Abdul Rafiu operating from the left side of defense.
The now famous “Twin Wall” partnership of Essau Kofi Kpoeti and Jacob Kofi Kpoeti will once again anchor the heart of the defense as Ghana seeks to contain the Senegalese attack.
In midfield, Isaac Barfo, Michael Nyantakyi, and Mark Kagawa Mensah retain their places following their energetic display in the opening fixture.
The attacking trio of Mark Aboagye, Eric Adu Gyamfi, and Robinho Yao Gavi will once again lead Ghana’s charge upfront as the Black Starlets target victory against the defending champions.
The technical team has expressed confidence in the players ahead of the important clash, with Coach Ogum insisting the squad is fully prepared to meet the challenge.
Ghana heads into the game determined to secure all three points and boost their chances of progressing to the knockout stage and qualifying for the FIFA U17 World Cup later this year.
