Ghanaian traditional priest Nana Kwaku Bonsam has claimed he will use his spiritual powers to stop Harry Kane from influencing England’s crucial FIFA World Cup clash against Ghana on Tuesday.
Speaking ahead of the highly anticipated Group L encounter, Bonsam said he was already working on a plan to neutralise England’s captain, insisting he had successfully used similar methods in the past.
“I am working on Harry Kane. I have shown what I am capable of before, so I know what work I must do to stop him. I am not wishing him serious injury. It will be just enough to stop him from attacking my country. I will do my work so that it can help Ghana,” he said.
The comments have generated widespread discussion among football fans, with Ghana preparing for a decisive showdown against England after opening their World Cup campaign with a 1-0 victory over Panama.
Kane remains one of England’s biggest threats after helping the Three Lions secure a 4-2 win over Croatia in their opening group match.
While Bonsam’s remarks have attracted attention, the outcome of the match will ultimately be determined on the pitch as Ghana seeks another positive result to boost their hopes of reaching the knockout stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
