Former Asante Kotoko captain Samba O’Neil has reportedly completed a move to South African Premier Division side Sekhukhune United F.C. on a two-year contract.
According to reports, the experienced defender has agreed terms with Sekhukhune United and is set to continue his career in South Africa after his stint with the Porcupine Warriors.
O’Neil established himself as one of Kotoko’s key figures during his time in Kumasi, serving as captain and playing a vital role in the club’s domestic campaigns. His leadership qualities, composure in defence and experience are expected to bolster Sekhukhune United’s squad ahead of the new season.
The move marks a significant step in the defender’s career as he becomes the latest Ghanaian player to secure a switch to the South African top flight.
An official announcement from Sekhukhune United is expected in due course.
