The World Football governing body [FIFA] has confirmed the details between Colombia and Ghana Black Stars knockout stage fixture.
The goalless draw between Colombia and Portugal at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami meant Colombia finished top of Group K with seven points, while Portugal remained second on five points has confirmed that, Colombia will face Ghana in round of 32 stage.
As a result, Ghana, who finished third in Group L, will now face the Group K winners, Colombia in Kansas City on Saturday, July 4, at 1:30GMT.
Despite losing 2-1 to Croatia in their final group match, Ghana secured their place in the knockout stages as one of the best third-placed teams. The Black Stars finished with four points from their three Group L matches.
England won the group with seven points after beating Panama 2-0, while Croatia finished second with six points following their victory over Ghana. Panama were eliminated after losing all three games.
Croatia took the lead in the 31st minute through Petar Sucic’s long-range strike. Ghana equalised in the 73rd minute when Derrick Luckassen headed home on his World Cup debut, but Nikola Vlasic restored Croatia’s lead in the 83rd minute from a corner. They will face Portugal in the round of 32.
Ghana will travel to Kansas City for their round of 32 clash against Colombia on Friday, July 3. Croatia, meanwhile, will face the Group K runners-up (Portugal) in Toronto on July 2.
England, who topped Group L, will play DR Congo in Atlanta on July 1.
