South African tactician Eric Tinkler has officially commenced work as the new head coach of Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko.

The former Bafana Bafana captain was named coach of the Porcupine Warriors last week, as part of the club’s efforts to win trophies in the 2026/27 football season.
Today, Eric Tinkler took charge of his first training session when Kotoko kicked off their pre-season training at Adako Jachie.
Tinkler arrives with an impressive coaching resume, having managed several of South Africa’s biggest clubs, including Orlando Pirates, SuperSport United, Cape Town City, Maritzburg United and Bidvest Wits.
He is now tasked with building a formidable Asante Kotoko side that can challenge for domestic titles and return to the African inter-club competitions
