Former Asante Kotoko defender Zackaria Fuseini has rejoined his parent club Berekum Chelsea in the current summer transfer window after the contract expiration at Kotoko.
The former Black Meteors centre-back joins the Bibires on a two-year deal, marking his return to Berekum Chelsea after just a season with the Porcupines.
The rock-solid defender joined the Porcupine Warriors last summer on a three-year deal but struggled to make an impact at the club, making only 14 appearances across competitions.
Despite having an existing contract with the Ghanaian giants, the 28-year-old defender has completed a return to Chelsea, a club he captained before departing to join Kotoko.
With over a decade of top-flight experience, Fuseini is expected to play a huge role for the one-time Premier League winners.
The defender has made 146 appearances, scoring six goals and providing one assist across spells with Berekum Chelsea and Asante Kotoko.
With this latest addition, the Berekum-based outfit have signalled their intent to mount a serious challenge in the upcoming 2026/27 Ghana Premier League campaign.
Berekum Chelsea will open their 2026/27 Premier League campaign against Hearts of Oak, with Fuseini expected to start against the Phobians as his second stint at the club.
