Bayern Munich and England striker Harry Kane has won the 2026 Men’s Striker of the Year award and the men’s Ballon d’Or at the Ballon d’Or ceremony in London after an outstanding goalscoring campaign for club and country.
The England captain received the honour on Monday, recognising his prolific performances during the 2025/26 season. Kane entered the ceremony as one of the leading contenders for the men’s Ballon d’Or after establishing himself as one of the most productive forwards in world football.
Kane scored 73 goals and made 8 assists for club and country in 65 appearances in the 2025/26 season.
The 33-year-old has continued to lead Bayern Munich’s attack since joining the German champions from Tottenham Hotspur in August 2023. His arrival in the Bundesliga marked a new chapter in his career after spending nearly two decades in English football, including his rise to become Tottenham’s all-time leading goalscorer.
Harry Kane also won the 2026 Ballon d’Or, capping a remarkable season for Bayern Munich in which he established himself as one of the most prolific goalscorers in world football.
The 33-year-old is recognised for an outstanding campaign that saw him score 73 goals for club and country, including 61 for Bayern Munich, as he emerged as one of the leading contenders for football’s most prestigious individual honour.
Kane helped Bayern secure the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal titles, further strengthening his case after another prolific season in Germany.
The former Tottenham Hotspur striker has continued to deliver consistently since joining Bayern in 2023, combining clinical finishing with intelligent movement and his ability to create opportunities for teammates.
A Ballon d’Or triumph would make Kane the first Englishman to win the men’s award since Michael Owen in 2001, ending a 25-year wait for an English winner.
The achievement would also represent the biggest individual milestone of Kane’s career, following years of prolific performances for Tottenham, Bayern Munich and England.
