Tarkwa-based Giants, Medeama SC, have arrived in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi, to battle with Asante Kotoko this afternoon in the Ghana Premier League matchday nine fixture at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The Porcupine Warriors head into the high-profile fixture under pressure to improve their league position after settling for a 1-1 draw against FC Ashanti Gold ’04 at the Len Clay Stadium last Sunday.
Kotoko currently occupy eighth position on the league table with 12 points, having recorded two wins, one draw and two defeats in their last five league matches.
During that period, they have scored nine goals and conceded an equal number, highlighting their need for greater consistency at both ends of the pitch. The game is set to kick off at 15:00GMT.
