Berekum Chelsea forward, Emmanuel Sarpong has warned Ghana Premier League giants, Accra Hearts of Oak to work extra hard if they want to pick a point on Sunday.
The Berekum-based club will wrap up the season with the Rainbows at the Golden City Park in matchday 34 of the BetPawa Premier League.
David Ocloo’s side will be desperate to see off the Bibires or pick a point to avoid relegation but Emmanuel Sarpong is confident that they will hand the Rainbows their first ever relegation in the Ghanaian top-flight.
“There’s no mercy for Hearts of Oak. We lost our last three games which is very bad. We won’t allow Hearts to beat us because we can’t lose for the fourth time. It won’t be good news to our supporters. It will be very important and a crucial encounter.
“We will go all out and win that game. The same thing happened before our game against Kotoko. They vowed to beat us but I warned them that we will shock them with more than two goals and we were able to carry the maximum points with three goals.
“There’s no mercy anywhere on Sunday. Hearts of Oak must work extra hard if they have something to do. We are not going to joke on Sunday because everyone will be watching that particular match,” Sarpong told Ghanasportspage.com.
Hearts of Oak are currently 11th in the table and are falling ever closer to the drop zone as the season ends on Sunday.
The threat of relegation looms large, and the club now finds itself in a fight for survival. They must outperform five other clubs – Karela United, Accra Lions, Legon Cities, Tamale City, and Great Olympics – in order to secure their top-flight status for the next season.
