Kumasi Asante Kotoko have re-appointed Maxwell Konadu as new head coach of the club ahead of the new league season.
Maxwell met with the Executive Chairman of the club last Sunday for talks on his move to the Baba Yara stadium side, and has now signed a two years contract with the Porcupine Warriors on Monday evening. Maxwell’s unveiling continued immediately on Monday at the club’s secretariat.
The contract of coach Maxwell Konadu takes effect from Monday, 9th December, 2019.
The former Wa All Stars coach returns to the club where he spent most of his playing career and this will be his second coming after guiding the club to win the Ghana Premier League in 2011.
Maxwell becomes the eighth (8th) coach to have been hired by Kotoko under the Dr. Kwame Kyei led administration in just three years since he took over as Executive Chairman of the club on 12 November, 2016. However, Maxwell Konadu is the 9th coach to have coached the club in the last three years – this includes Michael Osei who managed the club within the said period, but was not part of those signed by Dr. Kyei as he met Michael in office.
The Black Stars B coach will receive a sum of $3, 000 as his monthly salary.
