Asante Kotoko head coach, Dr. Narteh Prosper Ogum has named a 20-man squad for today’s clash against Nsoatreman FC at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Two Premier League side Asante Kotoko and Nsoatreman FC will battle for the Kufour Cup 2024 today 18th February 2024 as part of activities marking the 85th birthday anniversary of His Excellency John Agyekum Kufuor – former President of the Republic.
Coach Ogum has named Nicholas Mensah, Shadrack Addo, and John Tedeku in today’s game.
Dignitaries from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, National Sports Authority, Ghana Football Association (GFA), and members of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) are expected to join the Vice President in pledging their support for the event.
Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is set to be the special guest of honour at the highly anticipated.
Organized by the John Agyekum Kufuor Foundation, the JA. Kufuor Cup aims to raise funds and honour the profound legacy of the former president.
The Kufuor Cup will, therefore, take place at 4pm at Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, February 18, 2024. His Excellency John Agyekum Kufuor was President of Ghana from 7 January 2001 to 7 January 2009.
