Asante Kotoko Sporting Club are the champions of the J.A Kuffour Cup after beating Nsoatreman FC 2-1 on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors pulled off an incredible comeback thanks to goals from Steven Mukwala and Peter Amidu.
Nsoatreman had taken the lead through Abdul Rahman, but were hit by a resilient Kotoko side who refused to give up. They turned things around by levelling the scoreline courtesy Steven Mukwala, who connected perfectly to Lamptey’s pinpoint kick from the corner.
Coach Maxwell Konadu’s side were given a penalty to retake the lead during the 63rd minute but Frederick Asare weathered the storm to deny Abdul Manaf Umar.
However, the Reds reacted quickly to step forward with Peter Amidu scoring the winning goal.

Nsoatreman FC put in immense pressure on Kotoko, but to no avail as the home team held on and got the win, which saw them lift their first title of the season at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Organized by the John A. Kufuor (JAK) Foundation, the match served as a tribute to the legacy of the former President and marks the culmination of his 85th birthday celebrations.
