Hearts of Oak Coach Aboubakar Ouattara, issues apology to fans amidst recent poor performance

Aboubakar Ouattara, the head coach of Hearts of Oak, has expressed regret to the club’s fans following a string of disappointing results in the Ghana Premier League.

Despite losing four out of their last five matches, Ouattara urges fans to remain supportive, assuring them of a turnaround in upcoming fixtures.

In an interview with Kumasi FM, Ouattara acknowledged the fans’ disappointment with the team’s performance but called for patience and continued support. He emphasized the importance of fan encouragement ahead of their crucial match against Accra Lions, aiming to reignite their winning form.

“We apologize for our defeat against Legon Cities. Sometimes, it’s not just the loss that hurts, but how we perform. The disappointment among fans stems from our previous losses against Samartex and Dreams. Despite their unwavering support, we let them down. I’ve witnessed their dedication, and I assure them we’re committed to bouncing back,” he told Kumasi FM in an interview.

“We aim to secure a win against Accra Lions before our trip to Berekum. Their prayers and support mean everything to us. We thrive on their happiness and have sleepless nights when they’re disheartened. So, I urge them to stand by us as we face Accra Lions.”

With Hearts of Oak currently sitting 12th in the league table, Ouattara acknowledges the challenge of securing a top-four finish but remains optimistic about the team’s potential to bounce back.

The pivotal clash against Accra Lions is scheduled for today at the Accra Sports Stadium, where Hearts of Oak will seek redemption and a resurgence in their league campaign.
